A buried object approach (BOA) for the scattering of electromagnetic waves from 2D rough surfaces

In this paper, a MoM based numerical method is given to solve the 3D scattering problem including two lossy dielectric half space media separated by a 2D locally rough interface. The proposed method is the extended form of the buried object approach (BOA) method  to 2D rough surfaces. The method is very effective for locally rough surfaces having arbitrary surface variation. © 2011 IEEE.
